Job Summary and Qualifications 

The role of the breast center Patient Navigator is to serve as a patient advocate and assist with communication between health providers, along with support for patients and their families and follow up with patients to ensure that their treatment plan is completed. Must have the ability to maintain accurate documentation of patient data. This position will work very closely with health care providers and will be navigating the patients throughout their treatment plan. Knowlege of radiology operations, strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to interact with patients, physicians, and personnel in a pleasant, positive, and courteous manner is required. The position requires broad knowledge of the assessment, treatment and care techniques and principles relevant to growth and development of adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• (RN) Registered Nurse
• Registered Nurse Diploma 

• Minimum of 3 years experience in clinical specialty with demonstrated competency (national certification preferred). Documented continuing education in specialty area required
