Key Responsibilities
Troubleshoot equipment problems using precision measuring and testing instruments
Assist with emergency and non-emergency repairs
Repair Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and control systems
Follow blueprints and schematics
Perform chemical testing and adjustments for boilers and wastewater systems
Conduct safety checks on boilers
Inspect and maintain equipment parts
Perform basic welding activities
Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System
Perform other duties as assigned by leadership
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED preferred
Two-year technical degree in an appropriate background preferred
Minimum of 1 year of work experience repairing industrial processing equipment
Knowledgeable in industrial maintenance of facilities and equipment
Ability to read blueprints and schematics
Basic computer and Microsoft Office skills
Lockout / Tagout experience
Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.
Must pass UniFirst’s maintenance knowledge assessment
