Key Responsibilities
Organizes and conducts occupational therapy programs for rehabilitation
Directs patient participation in selected tasks to enhance performance
Supervises Occupational Therapy Assistants and support personnel
Responsible for effective delivery of rehab services and timely documentation
Consults with rehabilitation team to select appropriate therapeutic regimen
Screens, examines, and evaluates patients to establish diagnosis and treatment plans
Designs and applies adaptive devices, trains patients in their use
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in an occupational therapy curriculum accredited by ACOTE standards
Initial registration from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy
Valid and unencumbered occupational therapy license as required in the state of practice
Availability to travel to and temporarily reside in locations outside of the therapist's primary home
