Job Description

Join the ASPCA as a Lead Veterinarian and make a difference in the lives of animals and their owners in underserved communities. You'll lead a dedicated team, provide high-quality care in a supportive environment, and help shape the future of veterinary medicine.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and monitor medicine and surgery at veterinary clinics
  • Train veterinarians in HQHVSN techniques and medical protocols
  • Support a positive work culture and provide mentorship to staff
  • Perform high quality, high volume spay/neuter procedures
  • Provide compassionate veterinary care and manage patient treatment

Required Qualifications

  • Current California State Veterinary License
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an AVMA accredited veterinary college
  • Minimum three years veterinary experience in small animal medicine and surgery
  • Minimum one year of experience in high quality, high volume spay/neuter
  • Excellent work attendance record
  • Fear FreeĀ® Shelter certification within 60 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous people management experience strongly preferred
