Travel Nurse Job Details

• Location: Cincinnati, OH 45255 (Ohio nursing jobs)
• Healthcare Setting: Observation/Med-Surg Overflow (transitioning to Progressive Care Unit - PCU)
• Assignment Type: Travel RN contract
• Start Date: November 17, 2025
• End Date: February 14, 2026
• Duration: 13-week travel nursing assignment
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1680-$1800
• Unit Details: 20 beds, med/surg overflow, post cath lab patients, all patients on cardiac monitoring, strong PCU experience preferred

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio or compact state
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required; 2 years highly preferred
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification required
• Dysrhythmia exam required (study guide available)
• Experience with heparin and Lasix drips, cardiac monitoring, and telemetry interpretation
• Strong PCU/stepdown experience preferred
• EPIC EHR experience preferred

Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Administer medications safely and in accordance with healthcare policies
• Interpret and sign telemetry strips once per shift
• Coordinate patient care with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Serve as a patient safety advocate and participate in quality improvement initiatives
• Manage care for patients with multi-system organ failure, post cath lab, and med/surg needs
• Provide patient and family education and support
• Respond effectively to rapidly changing patient conditions and emergencies
• Demonstrate professionalism, compassion, and strong communication skills
