As a Navy Chaplain, you will provide spiritual support to Sailors and Marines, conducting services and offering guidance in times of need. This role allows you to positively impact the lives of service members while enjoying competitive benefits and opportunities for education.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct worship services in various settings
Perform religious rites and ceremonies such as weddings, funerals, and baptisms
Counsel individuals seeking guidance
Oversee religious education programs
Visit and provide spiritual care to hospitalized personnel and their families
Train lay leaders for religious education programs
Promote attendance at religious services and events
Advise leaders on morale, ethics, and spiritual well-being
Required Qualifications
U.S. citizen or equivalent
Graduate degree in theological or related studies from an accredited educational institution
Two years of full-time religious leadership experience
Ability to obtain an Ecclesiastical Endorsement from a religious faith organization registered with the Department of Defense
