Milieu Counselor Opportunity

Location: Everett, Massachusetts, 02149
Shift: 8-hour Nights | No Block Scheduling | Must work every other major holiday
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks (Nov 18, 2025 – Feb 14, 2026)
Guaranteed Hours: 40 per week
Contract Type: Daily OT after 24 hours | Weekly OT after 40 hours
Local Candidates Only: Must live within 50 miles of the facility

Requirements

• Experience: 1–2 years of recent Milieu Counseling or inpatient behavioral health experience (human services background preferred).
• Education: High school diploma required; B.A., B.S., or M.A. preferred or equivalent human service experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver care in alignment with Nursing Department Standards of Care.
• Support and participate in the implementation of individualized treatment plans.
• Maintain a therapeutic milieu by utilizing effective communication and de-escalation skills.
• Monitor patient safety and unit conditions, promptly reporting concerns.
• Attend to the individual needs of patients in crisis.
• Participate in unit activities to promote engagement and stability among patients.
