Job Description

Join Chesapeake Oncology Hematology Associates as a Medical Office Assistant, where you'll play a vital role in patient care and support. Key Responsibilities

  • Escort patients and complete patient intake
  • Clean and straighten exam rooms
  • Prepare syringes and administer injections
  • Assist providers with injectable procedures
  • Manage pathology and lab specimens
  • Respond to patient inquiries
  • Schedule appointments
  • Comply with OSHA and HIPAA standards
  • Train other employees on medical assistant duties
  • Assist with front desk procedures as needed

Required Qualifications

  • At least one (1) year of medical assisting experience
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant program
  • Professionalism and strong customer service skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly with doctors and patients
  • Ability to lift at least 15 pounds
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work well within a team
