The Director of Department at The Jewish Board leads clinical and operational oversight for residential programs aimed at supporting individuals with serious mental illness. This role involves supervision, compliance management, and the development of effective interventions to enhance client outcomes in a trauma-informed environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide administrative and clinical supervision
Ensure clinical, operational, and fiscal oversight of assigned programs
Lead recruitment, hiring, and staff evaluations
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and program budgets
Develop and implement new programs and initiatives
Be available and on-call 24/7 for urgent situations and client crises
Required Qualifications
LCSW, MSW, or other clinical qualification preferred
At least two years of supervisory experience in residential services or related human services programs
Substantial experience in working with serious mentally ill population
Understanding of trauma informed care
Understanding of co-occurring mental illness and substance abuse addiction
Preferred Qualifications
MPA, MPH, or related degree
Compassion and respect for vulnerable individuals
Patience and understanding for the sometimes slow process of stabilization and recovery
