Key Responsibilities
Perform thorough patient assessments, including medical history and physical examinations.
Restore healthy function within the scope and standard of occupational therapy care.
Engage patients in their recovery process.
Co-manage patient care with the provider team.
Diagnose health problems through review of patient medical history and examination.
Plan and carry out individually designed programs of occupational treatment.
Evaluate effects of treatment and adjust as necessary.
Maintain complete records for each patient.
Administer and oversee treatments and therapies.
Oversee COTA and Aides.
Lead program in conjunction with OT staff in other locations.
Required Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy Program
State of New Mexico Occupational Therapy license
Preferred Qualifications
Outpatient experience or interest
Training in hand therapy and splinting
