Job Description
Join ECHN as a Per Diem Speech Language Pathologist where you will provide essential treatments to patients, evaluate their functions, and collaborate in an interdisciplinary team. Your expertise will help improve or restore speech and language functions while educating families to maximize independent living.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluates patients based on departmental standards
Conducts and modifies evaluations based on patient symptoms and medical status
Treats patients with appropriate therapeutic techniques
Administers physical agents and manual therapeutic techniques
Educates patients/families in home exercise programs
Determines when a patient has achieved maximal benefit from treatment
Documents in accordance with insurance guidelines
Fosters interdepartmental communication regarding patient care
Supervises affiliated students
Attends continuing education courses
Participates in departmental/community in-service training
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited program of Speech Language Pathology with a minimum of a M.S.
Holds or is eligible for current Connecticut license
Eligible or has a Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech Language and Hearing Association
Valid driver's license for occasional travel between ECHN business sites
