Job Description
Join the ASPCA as a Lead Veterinarian, where you'll lead a dedicated team providing essential veterinary care in underserved communities. Key Responsibilities
Oversee and monitor medicine and surgery at veterinary clinics
Train veterinarians in spay/neuter techniques and other medical protocols
Support a positive work culture through regular feedback and coaching
Provide compassionate preventive and basic care to patients
Participate in the ASPCA’s commitment to research and development
Required Qualifications
Current California State Veterinary License
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an AVMA accredited veterinary college
Minimum one year of experience in high quality, high volume spay/neuter
Minimum three years veterinary experience in small animal medicine and surgery
Fear Free® Shelter certification required within 60 days of hire
Demonstrate true leadership abilities in challenging situations
Possess ability to work in high-volume, fast-paced clinic environment
Preferred Qualifications
Previous people management experience strongly preferred
