Key Responsibilities
Perform accurate multi-system assessments
Develop an individual nursing plan of care
Initiate appropriate measures based on protocol for patient management
Evaluate assessment methods and patients' response to treatment
Participate in unit quality assurance activities
Required Qualifications
Minimum nine (9) months of RN experience
Two (2) to five (5) years of critical care experience
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Registered Nurse License (Oregon)
Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 6 months of hire
NIH Stroke Scale Certificate within 6 months of hire
Basic Life Support
Advanced Cardiac Life Support required at hire
Computer keyboarding skills
Advanced patient assessment skills
Able to coordinate care of up to two post-anesthesia patients at a time
Able to respond to crisis situations calmly and appropriately
Able to work collaboratively with other members of the surgical team
