Job Description

Join Sysco as a Diesel Fleet Mechanic Technician III, where you'll ensure the safety and reliability of our fleet through expert maintenance and repairs. Use your skills to diagnose issues, mentor junior technicians, and contribute to a highly efficient operation.

Key Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance inspections and repairs on vehicles and equipment
Conduct FAI/CVI inspections on all fleet vehicles
Address Driver Vehicle Inspection Report write-ups promptly
Diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs to manufacturer specifications
Document all work performed on work orders
Mentor and train Fleet Technician I and II
May perform supervisory roles in the absence of Fleet Manager or Supervisors

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or GED
Current and valid driver's license
Medium / Heavy Duty truck technical training
2 years school and 4 years of experience or 5 years of experience in fleet maintenance and repair
Annual Inspector Certification
Brake Inspector Certification
ASE certifications in Automotive or Medium/Heavy Duty Trucks
EPA section 608 and 609 HVAC & Refrigeration Certification

Preferred Qualifications

CDL
Expert knowledge of all vehicle systems and components
Expert knowledge in diagnosis and repair of electrical systems
Expert knowledge in diagnosis and repair of refrigeration systems
Moderate knowledge and skill in welding and cutting
