About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Cath Lab Technologist with strong interventional radiology (IR) experience to join a dynamic combo lab in Salisbury, NC. This facility performs a high volume of IR procedures (approximately 90% of all cases) and supports urgent/emergent cardiology interventions. The role involves assisting providers during diagnostic and interventional procedures, with a focus on scrub and circulate responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in IR, cardiology, vascular, and EP procedures
- Scrub and circulate during IR and Cath Lab cases
- Support device implants (PPM, ICD) and EP procedures as needed
- Participate in weekday and weekend call rotations for emergent cases (STEMI, IR)
- Operate specialized equipment including GE MAC Lab, Philips iFR/IVUS, Angio Jet, EKOS, Impella, and more
- Collaborate with a three-member call team including at least one RN
- Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC and other unit systems
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Cath Lab or IR settings
- Strong IR experience (90% of cases are IR)
- Skills in scrub, circulate, telemetry
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, ARRT or RCIS
- Ability to start directly on the unit and complete Dimensions training onsite
- No RTO permitted after booking; strict attendance policy applies
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with EKG lead placement
- Certifications: ARRT Advanced, RCES, RCIS with medical experience
- Familiarity with Toshiba Cath Lab, GE Innova IR Lab, Maquet IABP, and Medtronic/Boston Scientific systems
Additional Details
- Call Schedule:
- Weekday call: 16:00–07:30, twice weekly for two weeks per month
- Weekend call: Friday 16:00–Monday 07:30, one weekend per month
- No call the week following weekend call
- Weekend Requirement: Every third weekend
- Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics
- Orientation: 40–80 hours, starting Mondays
- Scrubs provided (no holiday RTO permitted)
- Interview required prior to offer; please provide availability within 72 hours of submission
