Job Description

Chuy's is seeking a Kitchen Manager to lead a high-volume scratch kitchen. This role involves overseeing food costs, staffing, and maintaining quality standards, while promoting a fun and diverse culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage food cost, food waste, staffing and cleanliness
  • Supervise Assistant Kitchen Manager
  • Ensure proper staffing and training of kitchen staff
  • Maintain food quality and safety standards
  • Oversee inventory and orders
  • Ensure kitchen equipment functionality
  • Create schedules for kitchen staff

Required Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of kitchen management experience in a high-volume full-service restaurant
  • Strong culinary knowledge
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Financial understanding of sales and labor costs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bi-lingual (Spanish)
  • Familiarity with kitchen equipment maintenance
  • Willingness to run occasional front of house shifts
