• Weekly Salary Range: $1,720 - $1,840 (estimated, depending on experience and qualifications)

Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Battle Creek, MI 49017 – Southwest Michigan healthcare jobs in a city known for friendly communities, scenic trails, and rich history.
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 12/15/2025 – End: 3/16/2026)
• Shift: Night shifts, 3x12-hour (19:00 - 07:30)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing
• Unit: Medical Surgical (Neurovascular, Ortho, Cardio/Pulmonary, Surgical patients including GI, urology, hysterectomies, mastectomies)
• Staffing Ratio: 1:4-5 (may flex to 7 with LPN support)
• Orientation: Must be available first 8 days of assignment
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend required
• Floating: Will float to other Med/Surg units as needed

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Michigan RN License required
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg RN experience (2 years preferred)
• Experience working with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (RNs, LPNs, Techs)
• Ability to float to other Medical Surgical units
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions accepted)
• Professional references required

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to medical and surgical patients in a fast-paced hospital setting
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals including RNs, LPNs, and Techs
• Float to other Med/Surg units as needed, typically once per week
• Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation
• Educate and support patients and their families
• Comply with hospital policies, including holiday and weekend scheduling
• Participate in orientation and annual training modules
