**Position Overview:**
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team. This position is critical in providing high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced, high-acuity emergency department setting. The ED is equipped with 20 beds and caters to a diverse patient population, including various age groups.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and safety standards.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the nursing care for patients presenting with various medical conditions.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver optimal care and ensure positive patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) system, Paragon.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of care delivery and patient safety.
**Qualifications:**
- Current RN license.
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in an emergency department or similar high-acuity setting.
- Required certifications: CPR, ACLS, PALS, and Handle with Care (de-escalation training).
- Preferred skills: Experience with Peripheral IV placement, Stroke protocols, SEPSIS, and STEMI management.
- Strong critical thinking, organizational, and interpersonal skills are essential.
**Patient Ratios:** 4:1
**Team Structure:** This position will report to the Emergency Department supervisor.
**Dress Code:**
- Scrubs in black, navy, or royal blue.
- No vulgar/slang language on clothing or sweatpants/active pants allowed.
