Join Verizon as an Outside Plant Technician and ensure our outside plant facilities operate at maximum efficiency. You'll be responsible for construction work, handling various types of cables, and ensuring our infrastructure supports America's fastest and most reliable network.
Key Responsibilities
Placing, rearranging, and removing outside plant including various types of cables and associated hardware
Connecting wires and cables to terminals and attaching/detaching hardware
Reading and interpreting engineering work orders
Performing construction work using designated equipment
Operating company motor vehicles to transport equipment
Climbing ladders and poles, working aloft, and moving/lifting items not exceeding 100 lbs
Working evenings, weekends, holidays, and unscheduled shifts as needed
Required Qualifications
Valid state driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
CDL or the ability to obtain a CDL
Preferred Qualifications
A related Associate Degree
2 or more years of relevant work experience
