• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1570 - $1680
• Patient Ratio: 1:5
• Weekend Coverage: Required (block scheduling and flexible options available)
• Scrubs: Navy blue (not provided)

ER RN Qualifications and Requirements

• Active Compact or Maryland Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of recent emergency room nursing experience
• At least 1 prior travel nurse assignment required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS
• Proficiency with Cerner electronic charting system
• Skills in conscious sedation, telemetry, triage, and ventilator management
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
• Two supervisor references required
• Willingness to work holidays and weekends

Key Responsibilities – Emergency Room Nurse

• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatric patients
• Perform triage, patient assessment, and rapid interventions for cardiac, respiratory, stroke/neuro, orthopedic, oncology, GI/GU, and trauma cases
• Administer emergency medications and manage patients with multisystem organ dysfunction or failure
• Obtain and interpret 12-lead EKG/ECG
• Start and maintain IVs, perform phlebotomy, and monitor ventilated patients
• Assist with special procedures: conscious sedation, chest tubes, arterial lines, joint reductions, splinting, and rapid sequence intubation
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV, respiratory therapy, physical therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Utilize advanced ER equipment: rapid infusers, GE monitors, Alaris IV pumps, Zoll defibrillators, and more
