Key Responsibilities
Evaluate patients and obtain pre-anesthetic health history
Perform pre-anesthetic physical examinations
Establish monitoring modalities as delegated
Assist in sedation/anesthesia administration
Perform and monitor regional anesthesia techniques
Train and supervise personnel in the use of patient monitors
Make post-anesthesia patient rounds and document progress
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
Satisfactory completion of an accredited anesthesiologist assistant program
Certification from the National Commission for Certification of Anesthesiologist Assistants
Current state licensure as an anesthesiologist assistant
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to make critical decisions in a timely manner
Stamina for long shifts and high-stress situations
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in intensive care units or pain clinics
Training in advanced monitoring techniques
