Join Whole Foods Market as a Maintenance Team Leader, where you will oversee the maintenance team at our metro food production facility. This role involves managing daily operations, ensuring safety compliance, and developing preventive maintenance schedules, all while contributing to our mission of nourishing people and the planet.
Key Responsibilities
Lead daily operations of the maintenance team and ensure safety protocols are followed
Diagnose equipment malfunctions and determine repair strategies
Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules
Manage inventory of maintenance supplies and spare parts
Communicate and maintain building safety and security standards
Interview, select, train, and manage performance of team members
Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory rules and standards
Required Qualifications
BA/BS degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
2+ years of experience in maintenance within a food manufacturing environment
12+ months of maintenance supervisory experience in food manufacturing
OSHA safety certification or other relevant safety training
Ability to plan, execute, and oversee maintenance projects
In-depth knowledge of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, and hydraulic systems
Strong ability to read, analyze and interpret technical documents
Experience managing relationships with external contractors and service providers
Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
Preferred Qualifications
Relevant certifications such as CMRP or CPMM
Intermediate computer skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Basic understanding of ERP processes within a food manufacturing environment
Ability to work a flexible schedule
