About the Role We are seeking a skilled and adaptable Interventional Radiology RN to join our dynamic team serving both the RWJ Barnabas Health Main Campus and the Jack & Sheryl Morris Cancer Center—New Jersey’s first and only freestanding cancer hospital. This role offers the opportunity to work across two leading institutions in medical care, education, and research.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures
• Assist with conscious sedation recovery and patient monitoring
• Support PICC line procedures (RNs assist only; insertions performed by PAs)
• Float between Main Campus and Morris Cancer Center via pedestrian bridge
• Participate in on-call rotation (1–2 days/week; average 4–6 times/month)
• Deliver care in a stroke center and trauma-informed environment

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1.5 years of Level I Trauma experience or 2 years of Level II Trauma experience
• Experience with A-line and procedural wedge pressure monitoring
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Availability to work 2 of 3 major holidays
• Willingness to float between connected facilities
• No block scheduling permitted

Preferred Qualifications

• Scrub experience
• EKOS or similar device experience
• First-time travelers and local candidates welcome

Patient Population

• Interventional Radiology patients including oncology cases
• Conscious sedation recovery patients (some transition to PACU)
