Join ECHN as a Per Diem Speech Language Pathologist, where you will evaluate and treat patients to improve their speech and language functions. Collaborate in an interdisciplinary environment and contribute to community education while supervising students.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluates patients based on departmental standards
Conducts and modifies evaluations based on patient's symptoms and medical status
Treats patients with appropriate therapeutic techniques
Administers physical agents and manual therapeutic techniques
Educates patients/families on home exercise programs
Determines when a patient has achieved maximal benefit from treatment
Documents in accordance with insurance guidelines
Communicates with referring physician regarding patient care
Fills out and submits charges accurately
Adheres to professional code of ethics
Supervises at least one affiliated student per year
Attends continuing education courses
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited program of Speech Language Pathology with a minimum of a M.S.
Holds or is eligible for current Connecticut license
Eligible for or has a Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech Language and Hearing Association
Valid drivers' license for occasional travel between ECHN business sites
Preferred Qualifications
Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written
Basic personal computer skills in Windows programs such as Word, Outlook, and Excel
