Special Education Teacher at Onward Search Education summary:

Special Education Teachers provide tailored instruction to students with moderate or severe disabilities across K-12 grade levels, implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and adapting curriculum to meet diverse learning needs. They collaborate with educators, service providers, and parents to support students' academic, social, and emotional development, while maintaining detailed documentation and participating in IEP meetings. These educators hold relevant state certification and contribute to inclusive education within a supportive school district environment.

Onward Search is partnering with a school district in Franklin County , Massachusetts to hire Special Education Teachers for the 2025–2026 school year.



Location: Franklin County, MA

Start Date: August 29, 2025

End Date: June 16, 2026

Schedule: Monday–Friday (specific hours based on school assignment)

Grade Level: Openings across K–12

Hours: Full-time



Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide specialized instruction to students with moderate or severe disabilities, following IEPs and tailored learning plans.
  • Develop and implement effective classroom management strategies to support all learners.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, service providers, and parents to ensure student success.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including IEP goals, assessments, and progress reports.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and team collaboration sessions.
  • Adapt and modify curriculum to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Support students' academic, social, and emotional development.


Qualifications:
  • Valid Massachusetts DESE license in Moderate Disabilities (PreK–8 or 5–12) or Severe Disabilities, OR ESL Certification
  • Experience working with a diverse range of learners.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
