Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Surgical Services Manager to oversee the Surgical Services Department. Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer, the manager directs department operations, ensures age-appropriate patient care, and makes timely administrative decisions within established policies and standards of care. This role also requires maintaining confidentiality, supporting organizational mission and values, and performing additional duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the daily operations of the Surgical Services Department.
  • Ensure high-quality, age-appropriate care using the nursing process.
  • Demonstrate leadership in communication, conflict management, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Act quickly and effectively in emergency situations.
  • Support staff development and clinical competency within the department.
  • Utilize EMR (CPSI/Evident) and maintain accurate documentation.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current RN licensure in the state.
  • Minimum of 3 years perioperative experience.
  • CNOR certification required.
  • BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS may be obtained within 6 months of hire.
  • Advanced computer skills and clinical proficiency.
  • Strong leadership abilities and ability to function independently.

Additional Information:

  • Monday–Friday schedule.
  • EMR: CPSI/Evident.
  • 13-week contract.
