Med/Surg RN Job Details

• Location: Dothan, AL 36305 (Alabama healthcare jobs)

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alabama or compact state
• BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of recent medical/surgical nursing experience
• Experience with Cerner EMR preferred
• Permanent address must be 50+ miles from facility (travel nurse eligibility)

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced medical/surgical environment
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and progress
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Educate patients and families on health management and post-discharge care
• Float to other nursing units as needed to support hospital operations
