Job Description

Rural Psychiatry Associates is seeking a knowledgeable and results-driven professional to serve as the Revenue Cycle Manager. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing the entire revenue cycle, including billing, claims processing, collections, and reimbursement. The Revenue Cycle Manager will work closely with the Manager of Registration and Scheduling to ensure alignment and efficiency across all patient access and financial operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical billing, revenue optimization, and healthcare compliance.

Essential Responsibilities:

Provide strategic oversight and leadership of all revenue cycle functions, including billing, coding, denials management, and collections
Collaborate with the Manager of Registration and Scheduling to ensure seamless coordination between front-end and back-end revenue cycle processes
Monitor and analyze revenue cycle performance metrics and implement process improvements to enhance cash flow and reduce accounts receivable (AR) days
Ensure timely and accurate submission of claims in compliance with payer, federal, and state regulations
Identify and address issues related to denied or underpaid claims through proactive resolution and appeals
Develop and maintain policies and procedures to support billing accuracy and regulatory compliance
Supervise revenue cycle staff, providing training, mentoring, and performance management
Serve as a liaison between finance, clinical, and administrative departments to ensure clear communication and problem resolution
Prepare and present regular reports to senior leadership on revenue trends, payer performance, and financial forecasts

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Finance, or a related field required
Minimum of 5 years of experience in medical billing and revenue cycle management; leadership experience strongly desired
Strong knowledge of insurance reimbursement processes, billing regulations, CPT/ICD-10 coding, and compliance standards
Proficiency with medical billing software, EHR systems, and revenue cycle reporting tools
Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Ability to work collaboratively across departments and effectively manage competing priorities in a dynamic healthcare setting
