Do you like travel and have a background in "hands-on" Mechanical Engineering?

If you do, then we have the job for you. The position with OST Services (a subsidiary of LISEGA, Inc.) involves the Jr. Field Service Engineer role, ideally suited for candidates with some experience with pipe supports, restraints, and snubbers. The work will be performed at non-nuclear and nuclear electrical generating facilities, waste treatment plants, paper mills, petro-chemical plants, etc., located throughout North America, with some limited international travel. The position could be seasonal (part-time) depending on workload and individual interest but is primarily intended for full-time employment. This job includes fully paid travel expenses, per diem, and work at clean power plants across North America. Expect frequent travel, with pay rates depending on experience, targeted between $30 and $40 per hour plus per diem during travel.

The candidate should be capable of some, or all, of the following:

  1. Evaluate piping/support systems.
  2. Prepare technical reports detailing inspection results, recommendations, and conclusions.
  3. Supervise adjustments, installation, and repair of piping supports and restraints as required.
  4. Be familiar with the application and design of pipe supports.
  5. Perform activities to generate and maintain customer relationships.
  6. Order and expedite materials, interface with manufacturing, and handle customer correspondence to ensure delivery and contract commitments are met.
  7. Develop and implement design and fabrication procedures.
  8. Guide and perform hydraulic snubber testing and rebuilding.
  9. Assist in troubleshooting on- and off-site.
  10. Have knowledge of piping materials and nondestructive testing techniques.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent mechanical experience.
  • Familiar with pipe support and restraint products.
  • Mechanically inclined.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Computer literate.

  • Reading, writing, detailed calculations.
  • Ability to lift, climb, stoop.
  • Visual acuity.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Travel to job sites within the US and internationally.
  • React to customer urgency during emergencies.
  • Work professionally with co-workers and customers.
