Join St. David's South Austin Medical Center as an Adult Oncology Nurse Navigator, where you will advocate for cancer patients throughout their treatment journey. This role involves collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure patients receive comprehensive care and support.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as a liaison between the patient and family with healthcare providers
Act as a patient advocate from diagnosis to end of active treatment
Assess patients' medical, social, and psychosocial needs and link them to resources
Provide teaching, outreach, and support to patients and families
Conduct follow-up conversations with patients and communicate concerns to care providers
Required Qualifications
Three to five years oncology nursing experience
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in program development
Experience as a nurse navigator and/or patient educator in oncology
Experience in leadership and customer service
Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) achieved or in progress
