Job Description
Join Akron Children's Hospital as a Staff Nurse in the Behavioral Health Unit, providing specialized nursing care in a dynamic, family-centered environment. You'll play a vital role in assessing and directing patient care while collaborating with a dedicated team to enhance the well-being of pediatric patients.
Key Responsibilities
Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and direct nursing care with a focus on family-centered care
Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary for patient care
Perform leadership and professional duties
Participate in quality improvement and safety duties
Support provider staff and promote collaboration for quality care
Contribute to staff education and mentoring
Required Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Current certification in Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association
Valid, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Ohio
Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills
Strong organizational skills
Ability to work well under pressure
Experience working with various levels within an organization
Experience working in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
Experience with electronic medical record systems
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in healthcare
Experience working with an electronic medical record system (i.e. EPIC)
