Job Description
As an RN Care Specialist at Bethesda Health, you will lead a team to provide exceptional resident care, manage nursing staff, and ensure compliance with care standards. You'll enjoy a supportive work environment with great benefits while making a significant impact on the lives of residents.
Key Responsibilities
Assigns staff according to policies and ensures equal distribution of duties
Completes rounds to assess residents and their care
Communicates with the Director of Nursing about concerns requiring attention
Manages and disciplines staff as necessary
Develops measurable staff goals and promotes professionalism
Directs and manages direct patient care using sound nursing judgment
Implements and documents resident/family teaching relevant to healthcare needs
Maintains knowledge of emergency procedures and safety issues
Completes monthly QAPI and monitors pharmacy recommendations
Required Qualifications
Current RN license in the state you will be working
Three to five years of long-term care experience or similar nursing experience
Excellent communication skills
Ability to manage time and organize daily schedule
Ability to stand and walk for long periods
Ability to lift heavy objects using proper techniques
Ability to transfer and move residents weighing 200+lbs
Manual dexterity and coordination
Ability to perform necessary documentation
Visual acuity
Ability to manage a diversity of activities
Preferred Qualifications
Two years of long-term care supervisory experience
