Texas Nursing Job Details

• Location: Fort Worth, TX 76104 (Texas healthcare jobs)
• Assignment Length: 13-week travel nursing contract
• Shift: 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM (12-hour days)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1570 - $1680
• Call Requirements: One weekday per week and one weekend per month (weekend call is 24 hours from Friday 3 PM to Monday 7 AM)
• Unit: Operating Room (17 beds, includes CVOR and Transplant)
• Documentation System: Meditech EMR

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room RN experience in an acute care hospital
• Expertise in neurosurgery (85% spine, 15% brain cases)
• Active Texas RN license (no temporary licenses)
• BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Certification required
• Robotic surgery experience preferred
• Meditech EMR experience preferred
• Strong patient care, communication, and teamwork skills

OR RN Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care in the Operating Room, specializing in neuro, spine, and brain surgeries
• Assist with general, neuro, orthopedic, robotic, urology, plastic, heart, and transplant procedures
• Collaborate with surgeons, surgical techs, and healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes
• Float to other hospital units as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation using Meditech EMR
• Comply with hospital dress code and appearance standards (facility-provided scrubs, clean nails, neat hair, covered tattoos, limited visible piercings)
