Job Details:
• Demonstrate thorough knowledge of all aspects of General Diagnostic Radiology
• Adhere to departmental protocols and policy procedures of the healthcare system • Maintain RT(R) credentials and active status • Use technical knowledge to troubleshoot work unit problems with equipment and protocols • Share knowledge with employees and students in the work unit • Ensure patient demographic, emulsion markers, and examination requests are correct • Critique, orient and save all pertinent images • Transmit QA-ed images to PACS and ensure all images reach PACS • Document completion and/or cancellation of all procedures in RIS • Maintain image management equipment and report equipment problems • Utilize PACS and HIS system for obtaining additional study data • Perform quality radiographic images consistently and on an ongoing basis • Review radiographic orders and images, correlating patient demographic information • Review daily schedules and status of patients waiting for examinations • Maintain a clean and safe work environment • Verify patient identity and obtain patient history relevant to examination orders • Verify pregnancy status before administering ionizing radiation • Assess patients' physical condition and develop action plans for examinations • Assist patients that require extra attention and react to emergency situations • Required certifications: ARRT Certified in Radiography, Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification • Must maintain registry status and continuing education requirements annually • Accredited Associate's Degree or completion of an accredited Radiologic Sciences Program required • No prior experience required • Siemens experience preferred • Temp to perm positionFacility:
