Position Summary:
We are seeking skilled and experienced Surgical Trauma ICU Registered Nurses for day shift assignments in Albany, GA. This role involves caring for critically ill patients recovering from complex surgical and trauma-related conditions. The ideal candidate will have a strong surgical ICU background, advanced critical care skills, and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide advanced critical care to surgical, trauma, and post-trauma ICU patients.
  • Care for patients with burns, orthopedic injuries, cardiovascular surgical needs, neurosurgical cases, and oncological complications.
  • Manage ventilators, critical drips, and complex monitoring equipment.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including surgeons, intensivists, and specialty care providers.
  • Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic charting system.
  • Participate in weekend and holiday rotations as required.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active RN license (compact accepted if applicable).
  • Minimum of 2 years of ICU nursing experience.
  • Current BLS certification (required).
  • Experience in trauma, post-surgical, or surgical ICU (required).
  • Experience with CRRT, dialysis, and open-heart recovery (highly preferred).
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts in a high-acuity critical care setting.
