*Position Summary:*

The *Clinical Research Nurse II (CRN II)* will report to the Medical Director of the Cancer Clinical Trials Program and the Administrative Director in Hematology and Medical Oncology. This role focuses on delivering patient-facing research care, including study enrollment, assessments, and compliance monitoring, while collaborating closely with physicians, coordinators, and regulatory staff.

As a CRN II, you will follow and evaluate 4–6 patients per day (16–24 per week), working primarily on-site in the clinic. The position requires a strong background in oncology nursing or clinical research.

*Key Responsibilities:*

*Clinical:*
* Conduct study visits and clinical assessments for enrolled research participants
* Educate patients and families about clinical trials and protocol requirements
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care
* Administer medications and order required specimens
* Monitor patient safety and maintain compliance with study protocols
* Document findings and communicate with investigators and attending physicians
* Ensure care meets regulatory and institutional standards

*Research & Administrative:*
* Assist in protocol development and IRB-related documentation
* Recruit and register eligible patients into studies
* Coordinate study-related labs, imaging, and follow-up
* Support data integrity and compliance with quality assurance protocols

*Professional Development:*
* Identify growth opportunities and participate in training
* Join relevant professional organizations
* Contribute to scholarly output and committee work as needed

*Qualifications:*

*Education:*
* Graduate of an accredited nursing program
* BSN required

*Licensure & Certification:*
* Current RN license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

*Experience:*
* Minimum of 3–5 years in oncology nursing and/or clinical research

*Skills:*
* Proficient with Microsoft Office and REDCap
* Strong problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills
* Excellent verbal and written communication
* Knowledge of research regulations and patient safety standards
* Cultural sensitivity and commitment to equitable care

*Preferred:*
* Experience with grant writing, IRB processes, and study coordination
* Multilingual abilities are a plus
