Job Description

As the Director and Assistant Treasurer, you'll play a vital role in managing CenterPoint's financial operations, ensuring compliance, and leading a team. Your expertise will help shape the company's financial strategies, support risk management, and foster key banking relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Treasurer in managing financial activities
  • Oversee daily cash flows and forecasting
  • Manage banking and credit rating agency relationships
  • Ensure compliance with financing agreements and regulations
  • Evaluate financial risks related to treasury operations
  • Lead and mentor team members
  • Assist in the preparation of BOD materials
  • Develop and implement strategic plans

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance or Business Administration
  • Seven (7) years relevant technical experience
  • Experience leading a team

Preferred Qualifications

  • CTP, CFA, or CPA
  • M.B.A. or Masters of Accounting
  • Exposure to utilities
  • Understanding of equity and fixed income capital markets
  • Experience in SEC disclosures
  • Experience in cash forecasts and analyses
  • Experience in building financial models
  • Experience managing bank and credit rating agency relationships
