Join Albany Medical Center as a Clinical Nurse III in the Orthopedics & Spine Unit, where you'll provide compassionate care during night shifts. You'll utilize your clinical expertise to implement treatment plans, assess patient needs, and collaborate with a dedicated nursing team to improve patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Implement physician orders and administer medications
Start IVs and perform treatments, procedures, and special tests
Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests
Assess and evaluate patient needs and responses to care
Provide primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses
Administer medications as ordered
Collaborate with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care
Direct and guide ancillary personnel
Required Qualifications
Graduate of a professional academic nursing program (Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree)
Current NYS Registered Nurse license
Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
1-3 years of previous clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care
Excellent communication, prioritization, organizational, and time-management skills
Knowledge of quality concepts, principles, and problem-solving tools
