Sable Corporation is seeking a travel nurse RN CVOR for a travel nursing job in Redding, California.
We are seeking an experienced Travel Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) RN to join a high-acuity surgical team in California. This role is ideal for a nurse with strong CVOR experience , capable of handling open heart and vascular procedures while also participating in general OR cases as needed. Call coverage is required 2–3 days per week and every other weekend .
Scrub and/or circulate for cardiac surgical cases , including CABG, valve replacements, aortic aneurysm repairs, and vascular procedures
Support the surgical team with equipment setup, instrumentation, and sterile technique
Assist with other general surgery cases as needed based on OR volume
Monitor patients intraoperatively, maintain accurate documentation, and anticipate surgeon needs
Maintain strict adherence to infection control, patient safety, and sterile field protocols
Participate in scheduled on-call rotation (2–3 weekdays/week + every other weekend)
Communicate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, perfusionists, and fellow OR staff
Active California RN license (Required)
Minimum 1–2 years of dedicated CVOR experience (Required)
BLS & ACLS (AHA) certifications (Required)
Proficiency with cardiac surgical equipment, hemodynamic monitoring, and sterile field maintenance
Prior travel experience preferred, but not required
Ability to handle high-pressure, fast-paced surgical environments with confidence
