Job Summary and Qualifications

The Endoscopy Surgical Tech (non-certified) functions under the supervision of a registered nurse and performs delegated functions. Assists the physician by preparing and handling instruments and caring for scopes, supplies and equipment in compliance with safety and infection control standards. He/she adheres to policy and procedures, observes Universal Precautions and is responsible for meeting the Standards of Care. Patient age may be from neonate to geriatric. Completes a competency skills checklist within 3 months of employment.

What qualifications you will need:

• High School Graduate / GED
• Current Basic Life Support
• Minimum 1 year in a health care setting
• Endoscopy Surgical Tech experience required
