• Floating: Yes, to other PCU and telemetry units
• Electronic Medical Record: Meditech EMR

PCU RN Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or compact state
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of recent Progressive Care Unit nursing experience
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
• Ability to float to other PCU and telemetry units as needed

PCU Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in the Progressive Care Unit
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, administer medications, and perform clinical treatments
• Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and patient care technicians
• Maintain accurate documentation using Meditech EMR
• Participate in unit procedures and adhere to hospital guidelines and policies
