Job Description
Ochsner Health is seeking a New Grad for Imaging who will assess patients and perform routine radiographic procedures while ensuring safety and quality standards. This role includes mentoring junior staff and facilitating departmental operations, making a significant impact on patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Assess patients and perform routine radiographic procedures
Serve as a clinical mentor for junior staff and students
Verify physician orders and procedures for accuracy
Use radiology information systems to facilitate care
Explain procedures to patients to ensure understanding
Independently operate equipment to complete imaging procedures
Review patient images for diagnostic quality
Complete quality control procedures according to regulatory standards
Assist in departmental operations including inventory and staff schedules
Adapt communication and behavior for specific patient populations
Required Qualifications
Completion of an approved radiologic technology program
Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) or ARRT registry eligible
Current unrestricted license in the state of practice
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
