Job Description
As a Nursing Professional Development Specialist I, you will lead and implement evidence-based educational programs aimed at enhancing the competency and performance of nursing and clinical staff. Collaborate with diverse teams to foster a culture of continuous improvement in professional development.
Key Responsibilities
Consult with nursing leadership and interprofessional teams
Lead, develop, implement, and evaluate educational programs
Promote professional competency and role performance for nursing and clinical staff
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited school
Minimum of five years of applied clinical experience as an RN
Current South Carolina licensure as a registered nurse or compact state
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in nursing
Work experience in an education role (clinical education, professional development, academic faculty)
Knowledge of Nursing Professional Development, adult learning theory, evidence-based practice, and measurement of outcomes
