What You Bring
- Valid and active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Proven experience in Medical-Surgical and Telemetry units, with a solid understanding of patient care protocols.
- Drip therapy experience is mandatory, demonstrating competence in managing IV medications and infusions effectively.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing patient needs and work efficiently in high-pressure situations.
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- Flexibility to travel between unit types, including occasional PCU care (3:1 ratio), which is a non-negotiable requirement.
Preferred Education & Experience
- Completion of an accredited Nursing program (Associate's Degree or higher).
- Previous experience working in an acute care hospital setting for a minimum of 1-2 years, preferably in Med Surg, Tele, or ICU units.
- Familiarity with adaptive acuity units and experience with IPCU protocols is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of hospital policies, patient safety standards, and documentation procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide compassionate and comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Med Surg / Telemetry units, including IPCU areas when required.
- Administer medications, including IV drips, and monitor patient responses meticulously.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Ensure accurate documentation of patient information and care activities.
- Comply with hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control protocols.
- Be flexible to support PCU care as needed, adhering to the 3:1 patient ratio during those assignments.
