Job Description
Join Raytheon as a Materials Management Engineer II and be part of a team that addresses nonstandard problems and develops innovative solutions. This role requires managing material procurement and obsolescence, collaborating with suppliers, and interfacing with various departments to ensure compliance and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Manage material procurement and obsolescence tasks
Document and communicate material-related issues
Interface with suppliers and chemical management companies
Present issues to leadership and program management
Work with the Materials Verification Lab and subject matter experts
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., chemistry, polymer science, materials engineering)
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience or 6+ years without a degree
Experience with material testing techniques
Preferred Qualifications
Professional level communication skills
Knowledge of various materials (e.g., epoxies, polymers, composites)
Experience with Raytheon's chemical procurement systems
