Job Description

Join The Jewish Board as a Behavioral Intervention Specialist Level 1, where you'll make a meaningful impact by designing and monitoring Behavior Management Programs for individuals with developmental disabilities. Collaborate with a dedicated interdisciplinary team and receive comprehensive benefits while supporting diverse communities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and monitor Behavior Management Programs
  • Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs)
  • Develop Individualized Behavior Support Plans (BSPs)
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
  • Ensure compliance with OPWDD regulations
  • Participate in Life Plan and Individual Program Plan meetings
  • Provide crisis intervention and training

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree in clinical or treatment field (psychology, social work, etc.)
  • Documented training in assessment techniques and behavior support plan development
  • Three years of experience with individuals with developmental disabilities
  • NYS license as a Behavior Analyst or equivalent certification

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with NYS OPWDD policies and HCBS Waiver services
  • Knowledge of ABA, PBS, and trauma-informed care
  • Ability to train and mentor staff
