Reporting to the VP of Business Operations and Analytics, the Senior Director of Analytics & Insights is a key leader responsible for providing objective and strategic market insights to guide the organization. This role is pivotal within the US region, offering strategic leadership and direction to a team dedicated to delivering brand and portfolio insights through the analysis of primary and secondary data. The Senior Director will collaborate closely with senior business leadership and the cross-functional analytics community to present objective and strategic insights and analyses of the product portfolio. The ideal candidate should exhibit leadership that translates insights into actionable strategies for the business, ensuring deliberate and measurable impact. They will capture results promptly through disciplined program and financial management. Provide visionary leadership and strategic direction to enhance team capabilities, enabling the delivery of cutting-edge primary and secondary analytics. These analytics will generate novel and actionable market insights, uncover opportunities, and build a deep understanding of brand and portfolio performance.
This team will provide business leadership with unique insights necessary for successful business management.
Analytical Solutions: Lead the execution and implementation of analytical solutions to support business opportunity and risk assessment, market mix analysis, promotion response, and return on investment analytics.
Ensure metric and insights-driven reviews of products and portfolios, including launch readiness reviews, brand planning, promotional effectiveness, and other performance assessments.
Work closely with IT, Market Access, Forecasting, Field Operations, and Data Strategy teams to identify key data sets and technology priorities that will deliver essential insights for the business.
Resource Management: These efforts should inform innovative brand and portfolio strategies, driving the organization forward.
Project Execution: Demonstrated leadership skills to initiate and oversee the execution of impactful projects, ensuring timely delivery and significant business impact.
The candidate should be adept at presenting complex insights to senior stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner.
Pharmaceutical Data Expertise: Extensive experience with pharmaceutical data sources such as Symphony, IQVIA, and Electronic Health Records (EHR). Compliance Culture: Ability to foster a culture of compliance, ensuring that all activities adhere to relevant compliance policies and regulations.
BA or BS with concentration in Life Sciences, Business or Mathematics; MBA or other advanced degree preferred
~12 years+ progressive experience in strategic analysis, planning and analytics
~ Approximately 25% travel is required
