Key Responsibilities

  • Support the definition of requirements for propulsion systems
  • Define functional and physical interfaces between propulsion systems and vehicles
  • Configure or design propulsion sub-systems and components
  • Conduct testing, analysis, modeling, and simulation activities
  • Verify tests for propulsion sub-systems and components
  • Review and process engine qualification documentation
  • Assist with propulsion ground and flight test planning
  • Work under general supervision

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • 2+ years of work-related experience with a Bachelor's degree or work-related experience with a Master's degree
  • Understanding of interactions between propulsion, aerodynamics, and flight controls
  • Knowledge of flow characteristics related to inlets, nozzles, and engine operation

Preferred Qualifications

  • ABET accreditation in engineering
  • Experience in model-based engineering environments
