Cardiac Stepdown RN Job Details

• Healthcare Setting: Cardiac Stepdown / Cardiac Surgery Unit
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 10/27/2025 – End: 1/25/2026)
• Shift: 8-hour day shifts with on-call requirements
• Hours per Week: 40
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,330 - $2,500

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN compact license (Registered Nurse)
• BLS certification (Basic Life Support)
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in cardiac stepdown or open heart nursing jobs
• Proven experience with scrubbing and open heart procedures
• Ability to provide requested time off (RTO) at time of submission
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of Green Bay, WI

Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients recovering from cardiac surgery and cardiac procedures
• Monitor, assess, and respond to changes in patient condition in a cardiac stepdown unit
• Assist with scrubbing and provide clinical support during open heart procedures
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care and cardiac recovery
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold best practices in patient safety and clinical compliance
