Job Description

Join Optum as an Associate Patient Care Coordinator to enhance health outcomes through exceptional patient service. Manage appointments, billing inquiries, and medical records while working in a collaborative environment focused on growth and community impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional service to all customers
  • Greet patients and check them in and out
  • Ensure patient demographics are correct and updated
  • Collect co-pays and adhere to cash handling policies
  • Answer phones and route calls appropriately
  • Schedule appointments and verify visit types
  • Manage waiting room cleanliness and communication
  • Work with back-office staff for smooth patient flow
  • Resolve service issues and assist team members
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
  • 1+ years of customer service experience
  • Beginner level of proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ years of medical front desk experience
  • 1+ years of electronic medical record experience
  • 1+ years of health plan insurance knowledge
  • Experience with data analysis software
  • Bilingual (English / Spanish)
